they are just different implementations. Connector/C++ has interface similar to JBDC, so if you have some experience with java, it should be easier.

Connector/C++ is used in MySQL Workbench and in MySQL Connector/OpenOffice.org

Otherwise, both don't have many bugs: just try which you like more.
