MySQL 5.5 C API missing functions
Trying to build (make) an C app that uses the MySQL C API and it appears that the libmysqlclient.so.18.0.0 library on gentoo does not include the handle_options and get_tty_password functions. Found this on 3.0.4-gentoo and FC15.
Can anybody shed some light on this as to why they seen to be missing? openSuSE 11.4, RedHat EL 6.1, Ubuntu 11.04 has them although they may not be 5.5, so I'm wondering why and if they've been replaced or there's some workaround.
