mysql api and intellisense?

It's always been a source of minor irritation for me that VS.NET (7.1) intellisense doesnt seem to pick up mysql C api. This is probably just due to intellisense's general buggyness, but has anyone found a way to force it to work, or am I the only one with the problem? I've tried adding all of the headers to my project and deleting and rebuilding VS's ncb to no avail.
