C++ and mysql header file conflicts!!!!

Hello, is there a way to bypass a conflict between header files. I am including 2
header files that include a definition of "typedef struct LIST LIST" one being mysql.h
the other one being one of my compiler's header file. I would prefer not to modify
either one of these files. I would preferably like to do it in my own .C or .H files.
Any input would be appreciated.
