Mysql ARM Compilation

Am developing an application on ARM board, which need to store some value in remote database (MySQL). Hence the application need to use MySQL related API to store values. So am trying to cross compile MySQL for ARM, but it is not successful. Could you please help me out with this?
I tried a few links on MySQL ARM compilation, but nothing goes smooth.
