Upgrade from 5.6 to 5.7 - service wont start
I have just performed a binary upgrade from 5.6.51 to 5.7.41.
I stopped the services (I Have 3 database instances).
Backed up the folder to another location (copied the content)
Overwrote the content of the folder with the new version.
But when i start the service i just see a windows error that the service failed tos start in a timely fashion.
I restored the folders and the service started ok
I need to upgrade because 5.6 is no longer patched and i am not compliant on an audit.
Can anyone help please
