I think you may want to post this in the MySQL Workbench forum, you may have a faster response about how to troubleshoot the problem.
What version of Workbench did you install?
Do you see any useful information in the Workbench log? (found at "%APPDATA%\MySQL\Workbench\log\wb.log")
