Hi Robert,
Thanks for writing in our forums!

The problem you are seeing may be related to a bug in the products manifest shipped with the MySQL Installer for Windows. I am saying this because you mentioned Excel has 32 and 64 bit versions, which is wrong (Excel is only compiled in 32 bits).

To verify this, try to update the product manifest. To do so, you need to open the MySQL Installer from the Start menu and then click the "Catalog..." button, which is located at the lower right side of the MySQL Installer main window (the one showing installed products).

When you click the "Catalog..." button you should see immediately an "Update Catalog"screen. After you are done updating the catalog (what we call sometimes the products "manifest").

After that, please check if you see correctly only some products with a 32 bit version and if the problem is solved. Let us know if the problem persists providing as much information as possible.
