Re: Installer for 8.0.11 fails to connect to server
Thanks for your response Luis. I don't think that's the problem, and here is why:
- netstat tells me that my host is listening on both ports 80 (I have IIS running) and 3306 (for MySQL).
- I can telnet to port 80 using both localhost and a host name I defined in the hosts file. I can also ping both.
- I cannot telnet to port 3306 using either name. telnet returns essentially the same message as I'm seeing in the log file: Connect failed
Appreciate any other suggestions
