Thank you for reporting this issue to the MySQL forums. Can you elaborate a bit more about when during the installation process are you getting the exception? Does the unhandled exception provide any additional feedback such as the stack trace?
Finally, are you using the web or non-web version of the Installer? If you're using the web version, are you getting the same error for the non-web version?
