Hello Anthony,

Thank you for reporting these issues. The part where the MySQL for Visual Studio MSI is creating folders in the root drive folder is being fixed as part of bug 96576.

We were not able to reproduce the part where the files are being deployed to the installation folder of Visual Studio 2019 instead of 2017. The attempt was made on Windows 10 machine with Visual Studio 2017 and 2019 installed and a new installation of MySQL for Visual Studio. Please provide more details that could help to reproduce the behavior such as any operations made like modifying an existing installation or installing previous versions of MySQL for Visual Studio.

Note that this forum is intended for the MySQL Installer product so to follow up on this conversation I would advise that you post any additional comments in the MySQL for Visual Studio forum at: https://forums.mysql.com/list.php?174

Regards.
