Hello Sailaja,
Thank you for the detailed information, I'm able to reproduce the behavior you describe. Please help to raise an issue in https://bugs.mysql.com/ and we will address it asap.

As a workaround, you could initially perform the installation of MySQL Server 5.7 in port 3306. After that, proceed to stop the service and edit the configuration file to use port 3307 instead, then proceed to start the service once more.
