MySQL installer detects 5.6 but 5.7 installed and running

I did a manual update of MySQL on one of our servers to get it from 5.6 to 5.7. We upgraded in the 5.6 directory but MySQL workbench server status definitely indicates we are running 5.7.27 and our databases are up and running:

Connection Name: Local Instance MySQL56
Host: withheld
Socket: MySQL
Port: 3306
Version: 5.7.270log (MySQL Community Server (GPL))
Compiled for: Win64 (x86_64)
Configuration file: C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.6\my.ini

When I run MySQL Installer to check for updates, it wants to update 5.6, not 5.7. I certainly do not want to update 5.6 on top of 5.7.

Is there any way to get SQL Installer to recognize that we are running 5.7 and not 5.6.

Thanks for any suggestions/solutions,
