Ah, good that you've used the option for creating and joining InnoDB clusters within MySQL Installer.

Thank you for the detailed info and testing of the solution. I recommend raising a bug in https://bugs.mysql.com/, if you do created or have already created one please provide the bug number.

We'll work on identifying the root cause and fix it as soon as possible as this is definetly not the intended behavior when adding an instance to an InnoDB cluster.
