Re: Upgrade Error
Thank you for all your research/help/and suggestions. I'll review and work through what you wrote tomorrow.
Today I tried two things, running the windows installer it no longer gives me the option to upgrade. I updated the catalog, uninstalled and reinstalled the installer to no avail.
I pulled the 8.x zip version. And read that the perfered way for manual upgrade was to copy/overwrite the existing directory. I did that and tried to restart the mysql service and it just fails but gives no error logs why. Just says it started and shutdown normally.
I also looked in the event logs and saw a notice about tls 1.0 and 1.1 were enabled and i should disable those, which i did.
