Forgot password of existing MySQL database – now trying to transfer database

I have MySql version 8.0.28 installed and no one seems to know the password.

I have followed the steps outlined in artice B.3.3.2.1 to resolve this but with no joy.

I receive no errors but when I turn the services back on and try and log in I can’t login using the password I have outlined in the .txt document.

I have also tried installing a new instance of MySql on a different server and I tried to copy the database folder from C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 8.0\Data into the new server but I cannot see the database.

Any help in either resolving the password issue or transferring the existing database over to the new server would be a huge help!
