Hello everyone,

I recently ran into an issue where MySQL Shell wouldn't start (also the Configurator having issues) correctly on my system. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that the problem was related to the version of the Visual Studio Redistributable installed on my machine.

To fix it, I updated to Visual Studio Redistributable version 14.4x or higher, and MySQL Shell started working without any issues.

If you're facing a similar problem, I recommend checking your version and updating it. You can download the latest version here: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.

I hope this helps anyone else dealing with the same issue!
