MySQL 9.1 Installation Fails on Windows 11 After Latest Update

Hello everyone,

I’m facing issues installing MySQL 9.1 on Windows 11 after the most recent update. The MySQL Configurator is unable to initialize the database and the setup process stops at the “Initializing database” step.

I’ve attached part of the log file below:

Process for mysqld was run successfully and exited with code -1073741819.
Database initialization failed.


Steps already tried:

Running installer as Administrator

Checking permissions for the data and install directories

Re-installing Visual C++ Redistributables

Unfortunately, the problem still persists.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions or fixes would be greatly appreciated.
