Re: HOW-TO: Mac Excel 2008 and MySQL Connector 3.51
Erik,
Would you be willing to say a bit more about installing an "ODBC connector that Office is willing to use"? I am trying to do this on a PPC Mac running Excel 2004, and am finding it to be "a bit of a trick," to say the least.
I have successfully installed MySQL ODBC/Connector and set up and tested a DSN, but Excel keeps telling me "No ODBC Driver is installed", and points me to a web link to a couple of vendors who want me to pay for their proprietary "Excel-compatible" non-MySQL drivers. Is this my only choice, or is there a way to get Excel to recognize the (free) MySQL Connector?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
