'Export Excel Data to New Table' greyed out

On my Win7 Excel 2010 MySQL for Excel client, I've created a connection and table-less schema to a remote host running mysql. I've granted ALL privileges for the logged-in user.

Why is 'Export Excel Data to New Table' greyed out?
