Re: MySQL for Excel sidebar not appearing in Excel 2013
FYI this hadn't fully gone away: my mistake.
When I first load Excel, I see the MySQL button in the Data tab on the ribbon, so the add-in is definitely loading.
When I click on the button, nothing happens.
If I...
Click ribbon Developer tab > COM Add-ins
Untick MySQL.ForExcel
Click OK (i.e. unloading the add-in)
Click Developer tab > COM Add-ins
Tick MySQL.ForExcel
Click OK (i.e. reloading the add-in)
Click ribbon Data tab
Click MySQL for Excel button
...everything works fine.
Maybe it has something to do with Excel 2013 opening on the Excel>Recent screen (where you can choose from templates and recent documents) rather than opening a blank workbook?
