Append Excel Data to Table option unavailable (grayed out)

I have gone through the steps to select my local database, select the Schema, and select the table, but the option to Append Excel Data to Table is grayed out. The previous two options, Import MySQL Data, and Edit MySQL data ARE avaialble. Why is this option grayed out? Thank you.
