Stefano,
I think the easiest is that we follow up on a bug report. Please file a bug report at
http://bugs.mysql.com, and there please either supply very detailed steps to reproduce the problem or record a video of it and share a link to it here, since I still do not understand how you are seeing this problem.
You also mention it happens connecting to a server installed locally but not happening when you try to connect to a different Server? The Server versions should not have to do with this problem... but maybe something different.
At the bug report please attach both the application log and the settings.config file both found at "%APPDATA%\Oracle\MySQL for Excel".
Regarding your other concern, you said you want to use one PC to to update a MySQL table through Excel, and then feed another PC with the same data. You can try to use MySQL for Excel to do so. If your purpose is to use the MySQL table just as an intermediate location to share data among 2 computers maybe you should consider something different, like using Excel with OneDrive so you can edit the same data on 2 different PCs. But if your intention is to really use a MySQL DB because the data needs to be stored and accessed in several ways (not only Excel), then I hope MySQL for Excel fits your needs.
Best regards.
