Thanks for writing in our forums.
MySQL for Excel does not let you to visually design a query as part of the Import Data feature. You can see that you can select the columns to import but not play with the WHERE part of the query. This is as per design.

However, have you tried enabling in the Global Options the one to preview queries before they are sent to the server? That way you can simply edit the SELECT query the way you want and return to Excel exactly the rows you need.

Please let us know if that does the trick.
