Hi,
This is a problem with the MySQL Installer for Windows product rather than being a problem with MySQL for Excel.

Can you please check what version of the MySQL Installer you are using?
You should be able to workaround the problem by installing MySQL for Excel using the stand-alone MSI found at:

https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/windows/excel/

What you are reporting looks like a bug on the detection of the VSTO prerequisite. I will verify and raise a bug for the MySQL Installer product.
