renamed table. warning "tables no longer exist" on restore of editing session

I have renamed a table which was in an editing session of a sheet. I have removed all references to the old table name but get a warning when I restore the worksheet's editing session.

Operation Completed With Warnings
The following tables no longer exist...

Can this be remedied?
