Unfortunately this is a random error and there is no workaround.
We have already a bug report for this for MySQL for Excel:
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=93501
You can subscribe to it to see its status updates.
It's going to be fixed on version 1.3.8 since it is critical and is affecting many people.
And actually other duplicate bugs about the same thing.
This is being worked on, and another bug for the C/NET library used by MySQL for Excel has been raised, since the latter depends on the former:
