You know, clicking on Configure Instance in the MySql Notifier opens this :

We can call this a MySql Notifier dialog box if you like :)
Honnestly I most generally use SQLyog : this application is very stable, the only time I had a problem with it was when I forgot the password before reinstalling MySql.
