Thanks for writing in our forums!

Email notifications are not part of the MySQL Notifier feature set, it will certainly let you know in the system tray when a MySQL instance has gone down but it will not send an email. We will consider it as a feature for a future MySQL Notifier version.

In the meantime if you are a MySQL dbadmin I would strongly suggest the MySQL Enterprise Monitor product, I think it does support email notifications.
