Hi Jen,
I see you posted 3 messages about the same.
There was a bug in version 1.1.6 about that. The workaround is found in this forum, just search for it.

I suggest you uninstall 1.1.6, delete the "%APPDATA%\Oracle\MySQL Notifier" folder and install 1.1.7 instead.
