Create Connection

Hi Everybody

Should this software work with the Academic version. Although I can read the database records from programming it using mysql.data.mysqlclient I cannot create a connection using Visual Studio 2010 Academic. Once the dialogue box opens after changing the client Data Supplier to mysql database as soon as I enter any of the text box information required such Server name or user name or password the dialogue box disappears!

The web config file contains

<DbProviderFactories>
<remove invariant="MySql.Data.MySqlClient"/>
<add name="MySQL Data Provider" invariant="MySql.Data.MySqlClient" description=".Net Framework Data Provider for MySQL" type="MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlClientFactory, MySql.Data, Version=6.9.4.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d"/>
</DbProviderFactories>

I can manipulate the database successfully using the Workbench but I would prefer the Visual Studio features

Any help or suggestions would be most welcome
