Our authentication is good because we’re accessing as root user.

So it must be the port issue. However, when we use the syntax that includes the port, our connection inside Visual Studio is still fine but it fails in browser with:
ArgumentException: Keyword not supported: 'port'.

Connection String is as follows:
<add name="cwt_localConnectionString" connectionString="Server=127.0.0.1;Port=3306;Database=CWT_Local;Uid=root;Pwd=*******;"

We also tried using the “:” syntax instead of port but that didn’t work either.

We looked at the connection string examples on MySQL site and they specify port as well???

Thank you so much for continuing to help us resolve this.
