Calling this sproc in the mysql client produces the expected result ...

call insertanimals('test',@x,@y);
+------------+------------+
| idregistro | qtRegistro |
+------------+------------+
|          0 |          1 |
+------------+------------+

idregistro is 0 because no auto_increment value has been assigned.

If you can't replicate this result in Visual Studio for MySQL, you'll need to describe what you've done in the context of https://dev.mysql.com/doc/visual-studio/en/visual-studio-debugger.html.
