Friend / Peter Brawley

I made several tests using row_count inside store procedure and in all my case the return was 0 (zero), because I did not know 100% MySQL, I'm worried if it could be something of configuration or service pack, so I'm in doubt If the command works.
So I ended up sending the routine that identified the problem with row_count, but I did not get a satisfactory return.
So in a very simple case, see a routine using row_count inside a stored procedure where it returns value, because based on your example I'll be testing on several computers to check where I might be going, because the example I sent tested on several computers.
See if it is only possible otherwise I am waiting for the return of information closer to my tests, because I am trying to return in different places, because I am in a project and I have to continue.
If you can help me, I thank you for your attention.
