Hello Piotr,

What versions of MySQL for Visual Studio, OS and Visual Studio are you attempting the installation on?
From the looks of it I would think it is either MySQL for Visual Studio 1.2.7 or 2.0.5 combined with Windows 7 and Visual Studio 2017. Is my assumption correct?

If so, please go to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\15.0_<instance_id>
and look for the ActivityLog. Are there any E_ACCESSDENIED entries?

There is a known issue where the execution of the "devenv /updateconfiguration /log" command fails on Windows 7 environments. To workaround this you can follow below steps:

1. If you have any custom settings in the VS environment export them via the Tools->Import and Export Settings option.
2. Go to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\15.0_<instance_id> and delete the "privateregistry.bin" file.
3. Attempt the installation again, it should succeed.
4. Open Visual Studio.
5. If for any reason VS fails to start, again delete the "privateregistry.bin" file.
6. Import your settings if applicable. MySQL for Visual Studio should now be available.

If you are not being affected by this known issue, then please provide the part of the installer log that shows the failing actions.
