Hello Michel,

there is a known issue where the installation of MySQL for Visual Studio is unsuccessful in certain Windows environments, the problem isn't related to the server version. This has been addressed in MySQL for Visual Studio 1.2.8 but if you wish to keep using 1.2.7 you can apply the workaround mentioned in https://insidemysql.com/mysql-for-visual-studio-rollback-during-installation-uninstallation/.
