Hello Allan,

MySQL for Visual Studio does not yet officially support Visual Studio 2019. There is an existing bug where the installation is possible due to the VS2017/2019 installations paths being mixed.

As per the issue about not being able to see the MySQL References... have in mind that need to have MySQL Connector/NET installed for them to be available in the Extensions section of the Reference Manager. Additional to that, if you are not planning on using any feature which requires MySQL for Visual Studio (such as creating a model or datasource), then you can simply add references to your project via the NuGet Package Manager.
