linking an ASCII data source by creating a linked table

Hi, in my office we have 1To of ASCII.txt files.
the structure is...
folders ./aaaa/mm/dd/fic1.txt
to
folders ./aaaa/mm/dd/fic31.txt

aaaa from 2000 to 2018
mm from 01 to 12
dd from 01 to nn

I would like to use MYQSL to manipulate these files.
My question is :

Is it possible to link with mysql my ASCII's data-warehouse sources by creating a linked table. Not to import/load, juste to link.

It's possible to do that with MS/ACCESS.
Ms-ACCESS name it in french => 'Lier à la source de données en créant une table attachée.'
I don't know how to translate it in english.

I mean just link my ASCII's datas source by creating a linked table.
and with that I don't need to duplicate my data-warehouse.

ACCESS can do this, what about mysql ?

Thanks for your attention.
OB
