mysqlx_port errors during cluster creation
I've often gotten the below error when seeding an innodb cluster node using the dba methods provided via the mysql shell
xxxxx: Debug: Adding instance to metadata
xxxxx: Debug: Connecting to 'testdb:1485' to query for metadata information...
xxxxx: Error: Unknown system variable 'mysqlx_port'
xxxxx: Info: Could not query xplugin port, using default value: Unknown system variable 'mysqlx_port'
This obviously leads to the server being placed in super read only mode. Cleaning out the data directory and retrying often works but the inconsistent behavior is worrisome especially when trying to automate a cluster build (using ansible)
Any ideas why this happens?
