Hi Dayo,

Thank you for testing MySQL InnoDB Cluster and reporting your experience.

What you are experiencing is currently a normal behavior. By default, we chosen the safer path for your data. So if a node crash, it won't automatically rejoin after a restart. You will have to use the Shell to rejoin the instance. The Shell will use the cluster's metadata to provide a peer to use for joining.

Of course you can bypass this by specifying that in your config if you want.
