That's not necessarily true. Clustered mysql does not rely on the OS because it keeps it's own time syncronized between the the master and slaves (try changing the time within mysql and you'll get an error).

Does this mean that mysql is running off of it's own DST rules? If that's the case, would the fix be to upgrade mysql or break and redo the cluster? I'm running a pretty old 4.1.16 version (yes I know it's buggy).
