I need to setup my.cnf with some optimised settings,
does anyone have any real world examples that can help me?
I have a 1gb ram, 1.1ghz dual cpu, redhat 7, mysql 3.23.41, and the db is 1gb in size.

also
I want to switch on logging as mysql is crashing on me ( had 1 mysqld zombie the other day)
any idea what degradation in performance there is (if any) when logging is on?

many thanks
jc
