There is (or at least was) a hard limit of 4GB on the _combined_ log file size. You have 2*3GB; too big.
A huge log file is not that useful. Suggest 500m; then run for a few days or weeks, and come back with
SHOW GLOBAL STATUS LIKE 'Innodb%';
