I want the number of times that mysql_connect is called in a global setting thru connections (or users). If I do a FLUSH STATUS and SHOW GLOBAL STATUS LIKE 'Max_used_connections' I do not get a zero. I get 2 or greater. I read that cache has an effect. What global system variable does my Mysql Administrator change or what do I do? Using $_SESSION is not possible since I use URL setup and not cookies.

Thank you for any advice.
