Alter table with million of records - estimate how long does it take

Hello

Sorry for my english I speak spanish. I need to know how much time will take a lenght change of a field in a table with 15 million of records, also this field is part of an Index. This is the structure of the table, the field CodError have to be changed to char(50). Also the database is executing in a master-mater schema with another server. Lots of thanks for your help.
