The user end software is a medical program and the database contains all the patient data. The location of this database is in the path above in my first post. When the IT admin set this up we tried the connection between the medical software and newly created MySQL database and all worked fine. But when another user opened up the medical software to see if the database connection was there it gave the error message above.
Regarding the users windows account - they have full permission to the location of the database but regarding access to the MySQL database, would a user account within MySQL administrator have to be set up and given their own permissions to access the database?
