Re: Use AWS or Personal Laptop for Performance?

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your prompt reply. This is the first time I'm using AWS and so, I'm not sure where I can find all the information.

Looking at the Parameter Group (an AWS concept), the innodb_buffer_pool_size has a value of {DBInstanceClassMemory*3/4}.

The slowing occurs randomly. I ran the procedure 3-4 times this morning and it seemed to run fine and then, slowed down to a grind. Again, this evening, I ran the procedure 6 times and it ran just fine and then, the 7th time, slowed down significantly. First 6 times, it took 3 minutes each time. 7th time, it kept running for 20 minutes and then, I had to stop it.

I'm not sure if there's any issue with my procedure or whether there's a dynamic CPU allocatiojn / de-allocation happening at AWS.
