Thanks everyone!

So now the method to change password of root are:
1. echo "skip-grant-tables" >> /etc/my.cnf
2. systemctl restart mysqld
3. mysql
mysql>use mysql
mysql>update user set authentication_string = '' where user = 'root';
mysql>flush privileges;
4. sed '/skip-grant-tables/d' /etc/my.cnf
5. systemctl restart mysqld
6. mysql -u root -p
mysql>alter user 'root'@'localhost' identified by 'yourpassword';
mysql>flush privileges; [do we need this one?]
