Are there user-specific option files on Windows

Hi,

On Windows the MySQL 5.7 Documentation lists the following as option file locations:

%WINDIR%\my.ini, %WINDIR%\my.cnf
C:\my.ini, C:\my.cnf
BASEDIR\my.ini, BASEDIR\my.cnf
defaults-extra-file
%APPDATA%\MySQL\.mylogin.cnf

None of these locations look to be user-specific; i.e. where a user could store their connection details (i.e. credentials) without other users having access to them. Unix systems let users locate such files in their home directories. Why isn’t this an option for Windows users? Am I missing something? To explain, I haven’t installed the MySQL Server. I’m using the mysql client that comes with Workbench.

Thanks,
GAM
