I tried to change my user name. This forum won't let me.
I've been doing this since 1994, a year before mysql existed.

It's difficult to use a different field for the value, a user determines what type it is. I'll look into alternatives.

Explaining this was problematic for me but it looks like you did understand it.

I was hoping some kind of a sub query could do it. I guess not.

OK, I'll see if I can figure out a way to write a temp table for it.
